The Lion Royal Hotel has a large function room with ample space for parties of up to 120 for full meal or many more for buffet & dance events. Ideal for:

- † Due to our thick walls, wif-fi may not be available in all parts of the hotel.
For business meetings & conferences all rooms can be booked at competitive full or half day rates. We can also accommodate evening & weekend bookings for a small surcharge.
Catering for business events can be provided on a "per head" basis with a range of cost options.
With thirteen well appointed rooms we are able to accommodate business delegates from far and wide at competitive rates.
IN SUPPORT OF CHARITABLE & COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATIONS WE OFFER OUR FACILITIES AT SPECIAL RATES.
For very large parties we have ample space to erect a marquee in our private courtyard and can make available our ground floor bar, lounge & dining room.
For events on an epic scale we can open up our ¾ acre paddock for the use of our guests with the option of secure parking either in the paddock or in our large covered garage.
For smaller parties & meetings we also have the snug lounge & bar as well as our ample (but intimate) dining room.
Small informal meetings & social groups can also book the private lounge tucked away on the first floor of the hotel.
As a free house we can source your favourite ales and with several local micro breweries we might even introduce you to a new favourite!
Whatever the weather, with our private courtyard & covered area, why not treat your party to something that it the exact opposite of fast food? A whole (or half) hog from our master butcher, flame roast over an open fire. Lashings of apple sauce, mustard & plenty of crackling. All washed down with traditional ale of your choice.
