Lion Royal Pony Trekking Centre

Situated in the beautiful Elan Valley ("Lakeland of Wales") in the Cambrian Mountains, just a few minutes away from the market town of Rhayader in Powys. We provide horse riding holidays & pony trekking for people of all ages & levels of riding experience.

We ride throughout the season, taking a different route each day in the hills, valleys & woodlands surrounding the rivers Elan & Wye, rarely using any metalled road.

Nearly all our horses & ponies are home bred, broken in & schooled for trekking in this area by Kate Large; an experienced trainer, qualified instructor & our Manager / Guide since 1997.
