Four-legged horse power ready for the off

- The horses we offer are our own which have been specially bred and
trained with safety in mind
- If you wish to bring your own horse or horses, we have stabling for
up to 6 with a ¾ acre paddock at the back of the hotel in a secure
court-yard
- The Hotel prides itself on its Weekend House Parties and Horse
Riding Holidays, Weekend and day treks are also available to
non-residents
- Horse riding over the outstanding Cambrian Mountains and through the
lush green countryside is highly recommended
- Riding lessons are available for all ages with a qualified

- All abilities of rider are catered for on the Hotel's own and
much-loved horses and ponies

enjoyment with first-hand local know- ledge of the bridleways and old
horse-tracks throughout the entire area
The Mounts
We have bred and schooled nearly all the horses used on our trecks, to
ensure your comfort and safety. They range from 11.2h ponies to 16.2h
thoroughbreds, so that suitable mounts are assured for all ages, whether
novice or experienced.
The Treck
We ride out from our farm at about 10.30am and take a different route
each day over the hills surrounding the Elan Valley or along the River Wye,
using metalled roads as little as possible. The trecks are always
conducted by experienced guides who are pleased to give basic instructions
to novices.
